Al Tazaj’s Delivery Application Migration & Modernization
iSolution suggested a new application architecture and design for Al Tazaj Fakieh Farook Al Mashwi that works well with GCP’s features and services. This design allows utilizing managed instance groups and load balancing for auto-healing and high availability.
The challenge
Al Tazaj wanted to optimize the workload they had, being one of the biggest food chains in KSA. They needed to reduce costs due to new queries costing a lot of money although the location and base were exactly like the ones before. They used to face severe performance issues for their application, so they needed to find a better infrastructure to host the application and related workflows.
The solution
We provided a scalable, automated application platform for Al Tazaj to run their operations and business on. The solution consisted of a Cloud SQL database with HA, automated backups, and automated scale up and down based on operation hours. The app platform is built on GCE and managed instance groups to utilize auto-healing and HA. The app is deployed using startup scripts from a GCS bucket.
The result
Al Tazaj was able to scale its application infrastructure based on actual traffic and utilization. They were also able to save costs outside operation hours through scheduled resource scale-in/scale-down, then scale-up/out at the start of operation hours. They also improved the application deployment process and efficiency.
Our company now has been running efficiently and effectively since the move to Google Cloud.
